New information can be added to the knowledge base and topic map automatically when the user defines rules which are used to infer new knowledge. • Networked Planet TMIA SharePoint Edition - The TMIA SharePoint product provides a very easy and effective way to allow groups of users within an organization to create and manage information items. These items can be documents, link lists, discussions, events and announcements. All of these items are created in the context of a site and creating a new site is as easy as creating a new document or document library. TMIA SharePoint Edition provides a set of components that enable users to create an ontology consisting of both SharePoint items and topics that represent the domain ontology. Users can then classify and organize any SharePoint item, site, document, list item, into a topic map. Once these items are organized another set of components allow users to Search, Navigate and Find any item in any site that is relevant. Topic maps can be created to span multiple sites, providing an effective integration between SharePoint sites, and enabling a user on one site to quickly locate relevant information on another site.
